"CEO of Disney Bob Chapek is Out and Bob Iger is In"
According to the Deadline.com, there has been a sudden turn of events at Disney. The current Disney CEO Bob Chapek is being replaced with the previous Disney executive, Bob Iger. Even though, Bob Chapek renewed his contract for 2 more years, Bob Iger will replace Chapek effective immediately.
What does this mean for Star Wars? It's hard to tell as Iger gave the greenlight for the Sequel Trilogy aka Episodes 7, 8 & 9 which resulted in the great divide of the Star Wars community. Also, Iger put Kathleen Kennedy in charge of Lucasflims. Here is hoping that Iger positions Star Wars in the correct direction and works with George Lucas.
