"The Newest AHSOKA Trailer Entitled 'TRICK' "

Hello there! The Corellian Korean here to talk about the latest AHSOKA trailer that just released 3 hours ago on August 12th, Seoul Time, from the time this line was typed.

WARNING POTENTIAL SPOILERS AHEAD

FOR THE AHSOKA SERIES (PREMIERS AUGUST 23)

THIS IS YOUR LAST CHANCE TO TURN AWAY

YOU HAVE BEEN WARNED...

This is the FIFTH trailer released by Lucasfilms to promote the AHSOKA series (or seventh if you want to include the "Masters and Apprentice" and "A New Legacy"). It contains amazing new footage of the upcoming AHSOKA two episode premiere on August 23rd!

Here are image stills that highlight the footage of the trailer:

The trailers opens with a new shot of Sabine Wren holding her green lightsaber at a ready stance opposite of Shin Hati. This would be their first meeting. But I believe Sabine recognizes Shin from her Force Visions foretelling of this encounter.

Ahsoka's voice speaks over this moment, "Concentrate. Take in all that is around you."

Shin has her lightsaber drawn toward Sabine but she is not at her ready stance. Maybe she is not taking Sabine seriously.

Shin finally holds her lightsaber at a ready stance with two hands.

Shin takes the first swing.

Here is an interesting new scene with Ahsoka Tano training Sabine with wooden swords.

Notice how Sabine is practicing blind. She is wearing a helmet that covers her eyes. Probably, Ahsoka is training Sabine to use the Force to guide her movement without relying on her vision. A classic form of Jedi training. Also check out Sabine's Mandalorian muscles. Natasha Liu Bordizzo did not slouch on her choreographed sword training.

An interesting fact about the actress playing Sabine Wren, Natasha Liu Bordizzo, is that she is skilled in several martial arts like Taekwondo, Kenpo Karate and has some experience with Wudang sword fighting. She was born to play the role of Sabine in terms of scenes that require sword play.

Looks like Ahsoka got buff too as her bare shoulders exposes her ripped muscles. Ahsoka Tano's actress, Rosario Dawson and Bordizzo must've had many training sessions together to get ready for their parts.

Another interesting thing about his scene is that it's a call back to A NEW HOPE when Obi-wan Kenobi was training Luke Skywalker to use the Force to guide his lightsaber movement. Also this is a call back to REBELS when Sabine first trained in the Jedi sword arts with Ezra Bridger and Kanan Jarus. Back then Sabine began training with a wooden sword before transitioning to a live lightsaber.

For this scene, Ahsoka must have a reason to make Sabine practice with a kendo sword. Maybe for safety reasons? Sabine is swinging a sword with only the Force as her guide. Would be unfortunate if someone lost an arm or burnt their leg from a lightsaber accident. This scene further cements Sabine as a Force sensitive.

In this scene, Shin almost boops Sabine's nose with her orangish-red lightsaber. Fortunately, Sabine parries... her sword training with Ahsoka obviously paid off.

Then we have a distant shot of Sabine and Shin continuing their fight. Off to the left corner, we can see Sabine's Mandalorian helmet in the foreground. She must've removed her helmet before facing Shin or it fell off at some point. Maybe this is symbolic gesture of Sabine fighting blind? A Mandalorian fighting without the aid and protection of her Beskar helmet?

More wooden sword fighting. Sabine barely misses Ahsoka. I wonder if Ahsoka moved out of the way. Now we have a better view of Sabine's helmet. Is that a New Republic emblem on the helmet? It doesn't look like the Rebel Alliance insignia. Maybe it's the Galactic Republic insignia. And look at those Mando woman muscles. Sabine is ripped.

Then we have a shot of their feet. Ahsoka's foot knocks Sabine's foot off balance.

Sabine falls to the floor. In this wider shot, we can also see Huyang observing the training session. He still wears a leather work apron and belt of tools around his waist. Nice attention to detail.

And if you look careful,ly, the circular pattern on the floor is where a table should be. In another trailer, the table was raised and a hologram was projected on the table. Ahsoka and Sabine were sitting at this table talking to each other at Lothal.

Sabine looks up at her master in futility.

Ahsoka looking back like a boss tells her apprentice, "Let's go again."

Here is the busy orbit of the docking/shipyard planet.

Hera delivers this line to some officials of the New Republic, "I have reason to believe the Empire is still a threat"

A shot of Marrok, the former Inquisitor, on the red forest planet with the ancient navigational site.

Shin Hati aboard the New Republic transport to rescue Morgan Elsbeth.

Ahsoka is sitting across from Sabine with long hair aboard the T-6 shuttle saying, "We face another war."

This was back on Lothal when Ahsoka was trying to recruit Sabine. As you can see, they are sitting down. A holographic projection should be lit between them on a circular table. I believe the table can be raised from the floor. Or it can be lowered back into the floor so they have more surface for their sword training.

Baylan Skoll aboard the New Republic transport to rescue Morgan Elsbeth. Shin is close by.

He extends a hand to lift and Force Choke the personnel aboard the transport. Look at that orange lightsaber.

It's ORANGE!

Ahsoka on Lohal ready to leave says, "Let's begin."

Sabine got her haircut and mando gear. She is ready to leave Lothal.

Ahsoka on the planet with the red forest and the ancient navigational site. She ignites her lightsaber to fight Baylan.

This is a brief moment before Ahsoka ignites her lightsaber. She talks with Baylan for a bit. He calls Ahsoka by name and says, "Ahsoka Tano, Anakin spoke highly of you."

Then we have Baylan winding up to swing his lightsaber at Ahsoka.

After re-examine scene, I don't think that transport ahead of the Phantom II is working with the ex-Inquisitor, Marrok. The shuttle transporting that circular disc is a civilian working transport. Unfortunately, that civilian transport got mixed up in this dog fight. I'm guessing that Shin is aboard her Lambda T-4 like transport chasing and shooting at Hera or Chopper on the Phantom II.

And I still think this is happening on the docking/shipyard planet. Maybe this is happening after the Inquisitor fought Ahsoka and ran. Additionally, I think that circular disc looks like the cover windshield of a Tie Fighter or similar starfighter.

Hera aboard the Ghost or Phantom tells Chopper, "Get ready!"

Chopper is either aboard the Ghost or Phantom II. He pumps his appendage and acknowledges that he is "Ready!".

Then we have this very revealing scene! Sabine is fighting Shin and Ahsoka is fighting Marrok from a distance in the background... At the same time! Previously, I thought these two fights were happening from two different locations. Also I thought Sabine was fighting Shin when Ahsoka was fighting Baylan.

So does that mean Ahsoka manages to defeat Marrok quickly then leaves behind Sabine to face Shin alone? Ahsoka doesn't help Sabine beat Shin. How odd. Was getting to the ancient navigational site that urgent? It looks like a race for time. Ahsoka and Sabine are trying to stop Baylan from doing something. What will Baylan do? And where is Morgan Elsbeth when Ahsoka is fighting Baylan. What is Elsbeth doing? Some sort of Nightsister ritual to teleport Thrawn or she teleports herself to Thrawn? Or MAYBE Morgan Elsbeth activates the World Beyond Worlds at the ancient site!!! If this ancient site activates the portal to enter the World Beyond Worlds that would be mind blowingly amazing. Maybe this was the plan all along. To find Thrawn via the World Beyond Worlds. Also maybe the WBW was the "power" that Baylan was referring to. Just thinking about this is getting me hyped.

Sabine holding her own against Shin. Or maybe not. Only time will tell.

Shin winds up to strike Sabine.

Another interesting moment, Sabine does not have her lightsaber in this shot. Sabine manages to limbo dive under Shin's horizontal swing. What happened to her lightsaber? Did Shin destroy it? Did Sabine drop it? Maybe this will be the moment Sabine takes out Shin. Like how Obi-wan defeated Maul in THE PHANTOM MENACE.

This shot puzzles me just because Ahsoka is wearing a New Republic pilot uniform, Why!? Why did Ahsoka have to wear this pilots uniform that only looks good on a Lego minifig?

And why does Ahsoka praise Sabine saying, "Nice trick. Got anymore?" What did Sabine do that was so brilliant? So many questions! I only know this scene happens some time after their departure from Lothal.

Sabine jumps to hyperspace in the T-6.

Was this the amazing thing that Sabine did to impressed Ahsoka? Shoot down an enemy starfighter or transport?

Or maybe this chicken dare maneuver impressed Ahsoka? Who do those transports belong to? New Republic or do they belong to Baylan's gang?

I have so many questions. I'm sure I will get my answers on August 23rd! This and recent trailers have peaked my curiosity. GET HYPED! AHSOKA is coming! Just eleven more days to go!

Well, that's it for this scoop. I hope you found today's post interesting wherever you are. If you did please share your thoughts. And while you are at it please leave a like. There is another teaser that just dropped so I will talk about that in the next post. Until next time, may the Force be with you. Always!
