Hello to anyone that is reading this. The Corellian Korean is here to make an announcement about the future of this website.

It's been almost a year since STARWARSNEWSKOREA.COM started. Three goals were established before this site went live:

First, I wanted to promote Star Wars in Korea, to foster positive growth for the Star Wars community in Korea.

Over the course of a year, I made many posts. To be honest, creating content on a regular basis was a challenge. I worked around my day job while taking care of Mrs. CK and my two kids (one in pre-school and one in elementary school). Also my weekends were busy with church and other activities. Basically, my time is very limited. I have to sacrifice sleep to make content. But I really wanted to improve the lot of the Star Wars fandom in Korea even if my chances were close to nothing.

The truth is I don't know how much of an impact I have made since there is barely any visible traffic on this website. Comments are nonexistent. If I have touched lives then I can't see it. There is nothing tangible to grasp, no proof of people that people enjoy my content except word of mouth from friends and family. There is a steady view count but no comments. I need to know if I am connecting to people. Please a leave a comment if you like what I do. It would mean the world to me if you could leave any comment.

Recently, an amazing thing did happened. Disney Plus Korea received the coveted international premiere date for AHSOKA. It was a joy this see this come to fruition. I don't know if I had a part in this because there is not physical or digital proof of my efforts making an impact. Still, I was thrilled and proud to be a part of this event. Now I embrace each Wednesday with great anticipation.

My second goal, was to try my hand at writing. I never wrote for a public audience before. Maybe if I do this enough, I can gain enough experience to be accepted as a writer or producer. It would be a dream come true to make content for Star Wars as my main means of employment.

And my third goal, was to create sustainable income to support this website. Currently, it costs about one hundred US dollars to maintain this website domain for two years. Last August, I tried to apply for Adsense ads but was rejected. Apparently, Google thinks STARWARSNEWSKOREA.COM is not producing enough content or that my work is not content worthy. Without a means to support my website, I was considering throwing in the towel and quitting on writing any more content.

Recently, I have been thinking of making other kinds of content to support the Star Wars fandom in Korea and the international community when a curious thing happened to me today. #37, my son, told me that I should keep writing and making content. He said, he wants to write a blog with me. He knew about my plan to quit writing and do something different but he still said this. So I asked if he wanted me to continue writing and he gave me an affirmative, "Yes!" I was so moved by his response. It made my heart do backflips. I felt motivated to get off my butt and write this announcement.

I'm not giving up. I will keep writing even if I don't have the means to maintain my domain name. I will find another way to continue and promote Star Wars in Korea. I'm in it for the long haul now.

Thank you for your time and attention. If you are reading this, I hope you will show your support and write something in the comments so I know you are there. Your words of confirmation means the world to me. Please leave a like and leave a comment. And as always, may the Force be with you always!
