"Breakdown of the Newest Trailer for AHSOKA - PART 7"
Hello there! The Corellian Korean here to talk about the SEVENTH breakdown of the latest AHSOKA trailer.
WARNING POTENTIAL SPOILERS AHEAD
THE AHSOKA SERIES (PREMIERS AUGUST 23)
THIS IS YOUR LAST CHANCE TO TURN AWAY
YOU HAVE BEEN WARNED...
In this seventh breakdown, with the inclusion of the new trailer "Now or Never", I will once again combine all relevant FOUR trailers and try guess what is going on. And I will try to course correct my previous theories with the new information that have come to light.
First, I would like to add upon the opening scene when Baylan and Shin board the New Republic vessel rescue Morgan Elsbeth. Now I am sure this is Baylan and Shin's transport which resembles a Lambda T-4 class shuttle from the foldable wings and long vertical fin.
The vessel looks like a modified or maybe it's an older model that the empire did not use. I wasn't sure if this was the transport of the Dark Jedi pair from rear view. Now that I have seen more footage, I am confident that this is their personal transport.
Next, I would like to expand upon what happens before the fight scene on the docking port planet aka the shipyard which takes place after Ahsoka reunites with Hera.
First, Hera and Ahsoka ride on their respective ships to head to the docking port planet/shipyard together. Hera is with Jacen Syndulla, her son, as a co-pilot aboard the Ghost. She says, "Once a rebel, always a rebel." I believe Hera is referring to Ahsoka. Even though the time of the Rebel Alliance has passed, Hera and Ahsoka are forever linked by their shared experiences from that era.
Here we have Hera initiating the hyperdrive to make the jump to hyperspace. We don't see it but Ahsoka's T-6 makes the jump as well.
They arrive at a bustling hyperspace lane. There are many ships in orbit of the docking port/ shipyard planet.
We get a brief glimpse of the vertical fin of the Phantom II, the detachable vessel on the Ghost.
Ahsoka's T-6 and Hera's Ghost enter the planet's atmosphere. Then the clouds part and we get a nice view of the city they are going to. I believe this opening shot may have revealing bits of information.
We still don't know why the two come to this planet. But if I had to guess, I think there was a report of an Inquisitor spotted on this planet so they go to investigate. Of course things get confrontational as we have Hera shooting her laser pistol.
And in the same moment, Ahsoka uses the Force for some reason. Maybe to repel Baylan's thugs? Then she jumps out of the window to confront the Inquisitor and droid.
Now we know that Ahsoka strikes the pose first before the fight begins between Ahsoka and the Inquisitor plus droid.
There she is again holding that pose. The Inquisitor uncuffs his/her cape then the droid makes the first move charging in. And awesome fighting chorography ensues.
Now let's resume where we left off from the 6th breakdown. In the last breakdown, Sabine cut here hair and was ready to leave Lothal with Ahsoka to face the challenges ahead.
At this point, Ahsoka and Sabine know where Baylan & Shin's next destination will be. So they process to the planet with the red forest and an ancient site.
Baylan, Morgan, Shin, Marrok (the Inquisitor) and Morgan's hired guns arrive at a red forest facing an ocean over a cliff face. The atmosphere is ominous and skies are overcast. At the edge of the cliff face rests a ruin of obelisks in a circular pattern. There are ancient runes carved through out the site.
Their Lambda T-4 class like transport lands at the site. Master and apprentice exit the shuttle first.
Morgan's hired mercenary and droids fall in to receive Baylan's order. He expects or he senses another presence so Baylan orders the mercenaries to hunt down the unwelcome party. Maybe he knows it is Ahsoka Tano that has entered the planet's orbit.
Shin and Baylan begin to speak. Shin curious about what they are doing here.
Baylan explains that Morgan Elsbeth will use Nighsister Magick to locate Grand Admiral Thrawn at these ruins. And once they find him, Thrawn will have (or will know how to obtain) a power beyond their dreams. I believe this power will be used to wage war on the New Republic or maybe to stop an invasion from a greater threat.
Shin gives her master a stare full questions. Or she has her own plans.
Team Ahsoka arrives on the planet as well. They exit the T-6 shuttle to which Huyang says this, "This is where it gets interesting."
Baylan's goons find Sabine and Ahsoka. Here is Sabine wrangling one of the mercenaries with her Mandalorian whipcord at the foot of the T-6 shuttle.
Ahsoka senses that there are multiple assailants heading their way. Sabine devises a plan to split up so she can lead the mercenaries away from Ahsoka. In the mean time, Ahsoka will go to ruins to find Baylan and Morgan.
Morgan begins to activate the ancient ruins with her Nightsister Magick.
A spherical holographic like projection comes to life. The projections of light appear to be a navigational star chart of some sort. This will help Baylan and Morgan locate Thrawn.
The former Inquisitor, Marrock, manages to locate Ahsoka and takes her on.
The lightsaber duel was epic but it concludes with Ahsoka as the winner.
Ahsoka proceeds to the navigational site.
There she meets Baylan. Baylan recognizes Ahsoka and they talk about a common relation, Anakin Skywalker. He probably tries to convince Ahsoka to join Baylan. He tells here that is what Anakin would do if he was alive.
Ahsoka see through Baylan and rejects his offer to join forces.
Baylan resorts to plan B.
They both ignite their lightsabers and have a round of aggressive Jedi negotiations.
To counter Baylan's height advantage and power, Ahsoka uses her surrounds to counter the Dark Jedi's powerful moves. My question is, where is Morgan Elsbeth? And why is she not helping Baylan? I don't think she is dead so what is she doing? Must be important.
In the mean time, Sabine manages to take out Baylan's goons with relative ease. She doesn't need the Force to take on simple thugs. Her Mando skills will be sufficient. Unfortunately, Shin finds Sabine and activates her organgish-red lightsaber. Sabine recognizes that Shin is special and ignites her own green lightsaber.
Shin sizes Sabine up with a menacing stare. Then they engage in melee combat.
Interesting that Lucafilms or the ones involved in promoting AHSOKA, inverted the footage for some reason. Compare the above images to see what I'm talking about.
Eventually, Shin knocks down Sabine. In a desperate attempt, Sabine tries to Force Push Shin back. But Sabine barely moves Shin.
Shins is not impressed and states that Sabine has no power. I believe Shin will try to seduce Sabine to the Darkside of the Force. She will offer to help Sabine complete her training and together they can take the power that Thrawn has and rule the galaxy together. Maybe she ready to abandon her master to do her own thing. At least this is what I feel Shin will try to do.
If the above is true, I feel Sabine will reject Shin's offer and state that she is proud to be Ahsoka's apprentice. This location will be the highpoint of the two episode premiere of the AHSOKA series. The only to find out how these two fights end is watch the AHSOKA series which airs on August 23rd. Get hyped fans!
