"Guillermo Del Toro's Cancelled Star Wars Project"

Hello there! The Corellian Korean here to talk about the cancelled Guillermo Del Toro's cancelled Star Wars movie.

According to the Collider, the director of BLADE II (2002), HELLBOY (2004), PAN'S LABYRINTH (2006), HELLBOY II: THE GOLDEN ARMY (2008), THE SHAPE OF WATER (2017) and PINOCCHIO (2022) was let go from a Star Wars project that revolved around the infamous crime lord of Tatooine, Jabba the Hutt.

The filmmaker stated that he developed several screenplays with the Christopher Nolan Dark Knight trilogy screenwriter, David S. Goyer, for a Godfather style story highlighting the gangster's rise to power through unorthodox means. However, the film never moved beyond the conceptual phrase and was dropped.

Sounds like an interesting project, I'm imagining stories from Jabba's Palace with Boba Fett and Bib Fortuna as side characters that help carry the story. If there is a story that makes Fett look badass, then I'm all for it.

That's it for this scoop. I hope you found today's post interesting. If you did please share your thoughts. And while you are at it please leave a like. Until next time, may the Force be with you. Always!
