"AHSOKA Series Gets THE International Release Date For Korea"

Hello there! The Corellian Korean here to talk about a major mile stone for STAR WARS shows on Disney Plus Korea.

It's finally here! As you can tell from the first image of this post, STAR WARS: AHSOKA will release on August 23rd in South Korea which is the EXACT SAME DATE as the coveted international release date.

Since the launch of Disney Plus in South Korea back in Fall of 2021, we were plagued with delayed release dates. Star Wars fans in South Korea could never celebrate the release date with the international Star Wars community. We would had a five week gap for THE BOOK OF BOBA FETT, a two week gap for OBI-WAN KENOBI, a fourteen day gap for ANDOR, a nine day gap for TALES OF THE JEDI, a fourteen day gap for the second season of THE BAD BATCH, and finally a seven day gap for the third season of THE MANDALORIAN. Actually, I have to admit that the seven day gap for MANDO season 3 was a big deal for me and it was a awesome quality of life change IMO. People would go to social media to talk about what they saw from latest episode from a Star Wars show and I would try to refrain myself from being spoiled of these juicy details so I can have an untainted experience when the show would release in Korea. No watch parties. Delayed cheers from Star Wars fans in Korea. But not this time.

Someone at Lucasfilms must have heard the prayers of the Star Wars fan community from our corner of the galaxy in South Korea.

It's finally here! This is a moment to celebrate as a Star Wars fan. Now we can cheer with the rest of the world when AHSOKA airs on August 23 which is less than 7 weeks away from the time I am typing these words.

The AHSOKA series seems to take place anytime after RETURN OF THE JEDI. In this series. The head creative leading this massive Star Wars project, Dave Finoli, will introduce live-action versions of characters that we knew only in a 3D animated medium. Characters like Ezra Bridger portrayed by Eman Esfandi, Sabine Wren portrayed by Natasha Liu Bordizzo, Hera Syndulla portrayed by Mary Elizabeth Winstead, and Chopper probably voiced by the Dave Filoni himself. We already saw the fantastic Rosario Dawson for the live-action actress for Ahsoka Tano, and animated rendition of Zeb Orrelios for live-action voiced by Steve Blum. I have hope Captain Rex will return as Temuera Morrison. It would please me to see Rex as he is over due for a live-action debut. And of course, Grand Admiral Thrawn returns from the REBELS animated series, portrayed by Lars Mikkelsen. There is also billing for Anakin Skywalker who will be portrayed by the cool dude himself Hayden Christensen.

And finally, I would like to take this moment to honor the great Ray Stevenson. May the Force be with you.

My favorite character that Ray Stevenson portrayed was the role of Titus Pullo in the epic "Rome" series. His character was a down to earth soldier that always tried to find the positive in any situation. Even when the odds were stacked against him like being sentenced to death or in the stockades, he would somehow come out on top. Pullo sorta reminded me of another version of Wrecker from the BAD BATCH or Han Solo and Chewbacca combined. He had a simplistic roguish charm to him. And that is how I want to remember this soul. May his memory live on in our hearts.

That's it for this scoop. I hope you found today's post interesting. If you did please share your thoughts. And while you are at it please leave a like. Until next time, may the Force be with you. Always!
