"Andor Star Diego Nomicated for Best Performance"

Hey gang! The Corellian Korean here with the scoop on Diego Luna's Golden Globe nomination for Best Performance by an Actor in a Television Series on the recent spy thriller drama, STAR WARS: ANDOR, for the role of Cassian Andor. This news was announced yesterday on the 12th of December.

Star Wars is known for receiving awards for visual effects, sound, music and sometimes art direction. But it's rare to see a Lucasfilm project receive the honor of an acting nomination. Alec Guinness would be the first to be awarded the Best Supporting Actor for his role of Obi-wan Kenobi in STAR WARS: A NEW HOPE. It would be cool if Luna won this award for the franchise. His acting carried the characters development and narrative in an innocent and subtle manner which made him believable and grounded in that universe. But to be honest I thought Stellan Skarsgard deserved a nomination for Best Supporting Actor like Guinness. His performance was phenomenal as one of the founding members of the Rebel Alliance, Luthen Rael. His moment at bottom of Coruscant talking with the ISB mole Lonni Jung, by actor Robert Emms, was probably the most memorable dialogue from the series. Perhaps a new meme has been birthed with Skarsgard's performance. Also Genevieve O'Reilly as Mon Mothma, Denise Gough as Dedra Meero and Andy Serkis as Kino Loy delivered stellar performances and deserve their own nominations as well. To be honest there were many great acting moments in the series. The acting, writing and directing definitely carried the story. All of the actors and directors involved deserve a around of applause. I hope there are more nominations coming for ANDOR.
