"Breakdown of the Newest Trailer for AHSOKA - PART 1"

Hello there! The Corellian Korean here to talk about latest AHSOKA trailer.

WARNING POTENTIAL SPOILERS AHEAD

THIS IS YOUR LAST CHANCE TO TURN AWAY

YOU HAVE BEEN WARNED...

The newest AHSOKA trailer dropped on July 12, Seoul time. I'm here to talk about details from this trailer, connect the dots to make sense of the story and do some theory crafting.

The opening shot starts with a Lambda class shuttle heading towards what looks like a transport vessel similar to the ones that were used to evacuate the Rebels off Hoth from THE EMPIRE STRIKES BACK.

In the next shot, Baylan and Shin are greeted by New Republic personnel on the landing dock on some transport. You can also see the shuttle that Baylan and Shin will use to travel in the background. Maybe they commandeer the shuttle after they free the Magistrate aka Morgan Elsbeth or it is their personal transport. Maybe the shuttle belongs to the Magistrate.

Shin and Baylan forgo the pleasantries and proceed to dispatch the personnel on the transport with their lightsabers and Force abilities.

Baylan then impales the main personnel at the docks and states, "We are no Jedi."

Shin exits a turbolift to reach the command deck where she is greeted by more personnel which she makes quick work of.

The two Dark Jedi free Morgan Elsbeth and take her to a site of a planet with a sophisticated navigational device. Elsbeth operates the navigational device to display a holomap, probably with the location of Thrawn.

Shin Hati: "What will happen when we find Thrawn?"

Baylan Skoll: "Power. Such as you've never dreamed."

Maybe Baylan is after the Sun Crusher. Or a kind of cloning tech similar to Sparti Cloning to build an army. I don't think he is trying to rebuild the Jedi Order anymore because, he is seeking power from Thrawn.

I can make out trees in the background of this planet. They look similar to the trees and colors of these following shots with Ahsoka and Sabine.

Sabine uses her gauntlet mounted Mando wire to wrangle one of Baylan's thugs. Might be an Inquisitor.

If I had to guess, I think Sabine and Ahsoka trackdown Baylan and Shin to this planet. It looks like Baylan and Shin are working with one or more Inquisitors to find Thrawn. Maybe Ahsoka followed the Inquisitor(s) to this location.

At some point, Shin gets the jump on Sabine. The downed Sabine extends her hand forward implying that she can use the Force. Maybe to repel Shin with a Force Push.

We know Ahsoka is Sabine's master from this trailer but I'll talk about that later.

After taking the impact of Sabine's Force Push, Shin mocks Sabine saying, "You have no power."

Sabine and Shin beginning aggressive negotiations.

Ahsoka confronts the Inquisitor she was following and takes him down. This might be before or after Ahsoka meets Baylan. If it is after, maybe the Inquisitor was trying to buy Baylan time to escape.

In this shot, Ahsoka finds Baylan at the navigational site. But for some reason Elsbeth is not there. Maybe Baylan killed her after her usefulness came to an end or she is off camera somewhere. Sabine is probably fighting Shin at this moment. Baylan states that Anakin Skywalker spoke highly of Ahsoka implying that Baylan knew Anakin during the Clone Wars. It's been 29 years since Order 66 so Baylan must be around 50 years years old. He looks very healthy for a 50-year-old war vet.

After an exchange of words, Baylan and Ahsoka cross sabers. Battle ensues on two fronts: Sabine VS Shin and Ahsoka VS Baylan. The events on this planet either happen at the end of the first episode or during the second episode. I'm leaning more towards the latter, the second episode. I think all of the AHSOKA trailers showcase events of the first two episodes.

That's it for this breakdown analysis of the latest AHSOKA trailer. I hope you found today's post interesting wherever you are. If you did please share your thoughts.
