"Daisy Ridley is Open to Return to Star Wars"
Hello there! The Corellian Korean here with the scoop on THE FORCE AWAKENS heroine, Daisy Ridley.
In an interview with IMDb, Daisy Ridley was asked if she would revisit the Star Wars franchise at some point. And gave a positive reply stating that she is open to returning to the galaxy far far away.
IMDb: You think you'll ever revisit the franchise at some point?
Daisy Ridley: I mean, I'm open to a phone call. I'm looking for employment
There have been rumors swirling around the HoloNet that Ridley would return to Star Wars for the next trilogy of Star Wars theatrical movies or maybe for a Disney Plus series. Before the rumors, when asked if Ridley would return to Star Wars, she would often give a negative response. But there have been hints of her desire to return. She once posted an image of a Yoda statue on her Instagram after three years post THE RISE OF SKYWAYLKER. Many believed she was at Lucasfilms when she posted this image. Maybe that image was a coy way of saying she's back for more Star Wars.
Some Star Wars fans might be worried about Ridley's return to Star Wars due to her connection to the divisive Sequel Trilogy which consist of THE FORCE AWAKENS, THE LAST JEDI and THE RISE OF SKYWALKER. However, all of these past Disney projects were led by Kathleen Kennedy. The late/current president of Lucasfilms has fallen out of grace with the fandom since the THE LAST JEDI. She will soon be cut from her role as president after the fifth INDIANA JONES film in June.
Fans are looking to the creative leadership of Jon Favreau and Dave Filoni to guide Star Wars on the path that favor's George Lucas' original vision for Star Wars. It's a good time to a be a Star Wars fan and get back into the fray. Especially, with the third season of THE MANDALORIAN right around the corner. Fans are getting hyped about Mando and future content like the upcoming AHSOKA series. Perhaps under Favreau and Filoni's guidance, Daisy Ridely and her character, Rey, will receive redemption and perhaps be embraced by the fans. May the Force be with Lucas, Favreau, and Filoni. This is the way.
