"Korea's Release Date for BAD BATCH Season 2 Announced"
The Disney Plus Korea Youtube channel released their second trailer STAR WARS: THE BAD BATCH Season 2 with the official release date for South Korea. As predicted the second season is set to premier on January 18, 2023, two weeks after the international release date for THE BAD BATCH Season 2. This trailer went live two weeks ago on December 17th, 2022.
The first episode will air around the world on January 4th. By the time you read this post many people will be enjoying the premier and talking about it. But we in South Korea have to wait two weeks so we will be 3 episodes behind on our premier day. I wish South Korea would match the international release date so we can join in with the rest of the world. I feel Korea would benefit in one way or another if we followed the international release date as currently Disney Plus is doing well around the world in terms of subscribers. My tin-foil-hat senses tell me there is money and politics involved in these off release dates for Star Wars content in Korea.

It could have been worse. At least we didn't get this announcement two days before the Korean premier of TALES OF THE JEDI back in November. Remember that?
It was a mild and sudden surprise when they announced this last minute. The marketing for all things STAR WARS in South Korea is none existent but I hope to change that. My heart aches when I see the current state of the fandom here in Korea. Hopefully, I can help change that. If things go according to plan, I will launch a sister website to parallel the English content with matching Korean content. But that is later down the line. I hope to recruit help to translate our English content into Korean.
