Bespin Bulletin: EXCLUSIVE: Mary Elizabeth Winstead is playing Hera Syndulla in Star Wars: Ahsoka - Bespin Bulletin
If you haven't see STAR WARS: REBELS yet and don't want SPOILERS. I recommend you turn away now.
You have been warned.
Hera Syndulla made her first appearance in STAR WARS: REBELS animated series. She is the Twi'lek ace pilot of the Ghost crew aka Pheonix Cell and one of the revolutionary leaders of a small rebel faction in the early years of the Rebel Alliance. Syndulla led the Ghost crew with fellow co-founder and Jedi, Kanon Jarrus. Jarrus and Syndulla fall in love and have a child together. Jarrus sacrifices his life for the Ghost crew towards the end of the series but his presence is still felt through the Loth Wolves. It is rumored that a Loth Wolf will make an appearance in the AHSOKA series. The voice actress who portrayed the Syndulla in the animated series was Vanessa Marshall. She reprised her role of Syndulla for STAR WARS: THE BAD BATCH in season one. But for the live-action, Mary Elizabeth Winstead will fill the role.
Winstead is no stranger to Star Wars as she is probably married to Star Wars actor Ewan McGregor by now. They announced their marriage earlier in 2022. McGregor is known for his portrayal of Obi-wan Kenobi in the KENOBI series and the prequel trilogy. They look great together and I wish them the best. It'll be fun to seeing Hera Syndulla interacting with members of Phoenix Cell in live-action which comprise of Ahsoka Tano played by Rosario Dawson, Captain Rex by Temuera Morrison, Sabine Wren by Natasha Liu Bordizzo, Zeb Orrelios by Steve Blum, Chopper probably by Dave Filoni and the missing Ezra Bridger by Eman Esfandi. Good times are coming for Star Wars fans.
