RANDOM QUESTION SUNDAY 004 "If you had to recommend a Star Wars movie or TV series, what would you recommend?"
Hello all! The Corellian Korean here to share my thoughts on today's RANDOM QUESTION SUNDAY. The question is:
If I had to recommend a Star Wars movie or TV series to someone who wanted to get into Star Wars, what would I recommend?

It depends on the individual. A person's tastes and needs will factor in greatly as to what I would recommend. There is so much content to enjoy, and you want them to enjoy Star Wars as much you do.
For example, if the person is into anime then I'd recommend STAR WARS: VISIONS or STAR WARS: CLONE WARS (2003 by Genndy Tartakovsky). If the person appreciates the culture of cinematography then I'd recommend the Original Trilogy: A NEW HOPE, THE EMPIRE STRIKES BACK, & THE RETURN OF THE JEDI. Or if the person wants to watch something more recent then I'd recommend THE MANDALORIAN series or ROGUE ONE. If the person has kids and wants to enjoy Star Wars together then I'd recommend THE CLONE WARS animated TV series (2008 by Dave Filoni) and all of Dave Filoni's animated universe. It all depends on the person.
However, if the person wanted MY PERSONAL RECOMMENDATION as to how to get into the Star Wars. I'd tell them to watch the Star Wars movies in this order:
1. EPISODE IV: A NEW HOPE
2. EPISODE V: THE EMPIRE STRIKES BACK
3. EPISODE I: THE PHANTOM MENACE
4. EPISODE II: THE ATTACK OF THE CLONES
5. EPISODE III: REVENGE OF THE SITH
6. EPISODE VI: RETURN OF THE JEDI
Start with A NEW HOPE, George Lucas' first movie, the movie that started it all. Then watch the direct sequel THE EMPIRE STRIKES BACK but don't go onto RETURN OF THE JEDI. Save Episode 6 for after you watch the Prequels, Episodes 1, 2 & 3, in chronological order to give Vader's story finale greater weight.
Actually, this was how I showed the George Lucas' movies to #37 as a homework. In #37's adventures, he was at the moment when Trooper 37 would witness Vader and Luke's interaction together through his fantasy character. I thought it was critical that he understood the importance of this moment. This would be #37's second time watching all 6 movies. When he watched the movies the first time, he didn't have his fantasy character. Now he was a seasoned Stormtrooper who has been on many missions and he met many characters which included Vader and Luke. Watching the movies before Vader and Luke's interaction made the experience of that moment that much more vivid to #37. It paid off, cause he loved it. Now the torch has been passed.
