RANDOM QUESTION SUNDAY 005 "If you could create a STAR WARS story, what kind of story would you tell?"

Hello all! The Corellian Korean here to share my thoughts on today's RANDOM QUESTION SUNDAY. The question is:

If you could create a STAR WARS story, what kind of story would you tell?

Oh, this question... If I could tell a Star Wars story, I would love to tell a story about Fett. I mean the Boba Fett or any Fett for that matter. I would love to tell the story of his rookie years as a bounty hunter when he first dawns the Mandalorian armor. I would give meat to Vader's line to Fett. "I want them alive. No disintegrations."

I believe there was a game that was going to tell the tale of Fett's early years as a young adult bounty hunter dawning Mandalorian armor, STAR WARS 1313. This game was the cancelled project that I was actually looking forward to. I believe they scrapped this project with the Disney acquisition. I hope Lucasfilms revisits this idea in another project.

Dave Filoni briefly touched upon the Fett mythos during the Clone Wars animated series. I call this version of Fett, "Boba" because he wasn't the Fett I imagined him to be growing up. Don't get me wrong. It was an OK story arch, I liked how Filoni tried to develop his character as a boy driven by revenge but still believed in honor. It fell inline with Fett's lore and would be a natural progression of his character development post Jango's death to Mace Windu. But I wasn't pleased with how he was treated like a chump on several occasions. Like how he was used to progress Assaj Ventress' character development. If Boba was a leader of band of bounty hunters, I would've made him more badass. I mean the legendary Bossk was on Boba's team. There was a missed opportunity to tell a story about how Boba earned Bossk's respect. Boba came off as whiny and powerless. I would definitely show Boba's face less and give him fewer lines. Sometimes actions speak louder than words. The silence of Fett is the way he communicates and fits his persona. He didn't have to wear a Mandalorian helmet yet. The helmet he wore during that story arch was sufficient. I wanted to see more of Boba's story. Too bad we didn't get more of Daniel Logan's Boba. I felt Filoni could've told more stories about Boba. Left a bad taste the way his character was left under developed.

I would also like to tell the tales about scum and villainy and the common folk behind the scenes in the Star Wars universe like a modern take on TALES FROM THE MOS EISLEY CANTINA, TALES FROM JABBA'S PALACE and TALES OF THE BOUNTY HUNTERS. These EU stories would have to be retold to match the new canon so there is plenty of room for creative expression similar to how Jon Favreau and Dave Filoni are using Legends material to tell new stories.

A character I would love to see is Jodo Kast. Kast was a nobody who got lucky finding Mando armor and tried to pose as Fett to use his underworld street cred. I would definitely add this character to any future BOBA FETT project. So many ways to tell/use Jodo Kast's story. There is a lesser known short story by Timothy Zahn that has Grand Admiral Thrawn wearing Jodo Kast's Mandalorian armor! Oh lord, I would love see Favreau and Filoni tell that story! I don't want to say too much about this story in case you are interested in reading it. This short was from TALES FROM THE EMPIRE. Just the idea of Thrawn in Mando armor sounds so awesome.
