"Studio Ghibli Announces a Joint Project with Lucasfilms"
If you know Studio Ghibli then you may be aware of their legacy to the animation and film industry. They are known for memorable animated films such as Nausicaa Valley of the Wind, Castle in the Sky Laputa, My Neighbor Totoro, Kiki's Delivery Service, Porco Rosso, Princess Mononoke, and Spirited Away. All of which were directed by one of the greatest directors, not exclusive to animation but also in film history, the gentle workaholic auteur himself, Hayao Miyazaki. With the name recognition of both legendary studio and director, both are held in high regard around the world.
According to a scoop from The Direct, an independent entertainment news outlet, Studio Ghibli has teased a collaboration with Lucasfilms on the Studio Ghibli Twitter account.
Check out the Twitter link to see the short clip implying a collaboration between to two filming giants.
However, their joint project is not known to the public as there is no official announcement. Which leaves room for speculation. Some feel Studio Ghibli will be involved in a Lucasfilm property, STAR WARS: VISIONS. Only time will tell. What do you think the two giants will do together?
