"The Rumor of live-action Grand Admiral Thrawn"
Hello there! The Corellian Korean here with the news about the rumored live-action casting choice of the infamous badass villain of the Star Wars universe, Grand Admiral Thrawn. It has been long rumored that the voice actor for Thrawn from the STAR WARS: REBELS animated series, Lars Mikkelsen, would reprise his role as a live-action version of this fan favorite character in the upcoming STAR WARS: AHSOKA.
In an interview with Express, Lars Mikkelsen admits that he is aware of this rumor and he states that there is no confirmation if he will be cast for the live-action role of Thrawn in AHSOKA. However, when asked if he is interested in reprising the role, he replied:
“Well, I haven’t had the offer. But, yes, sure.”

Mikkelsen's coy response makes many believe that he has been casted as the live-action Thrawn. Plus he already played the voice of the Thrawn in REBELS and he looks the part. If you are contracted to work in Disney movies, you are legally obligated to deny your involvement in any project with Disney. When actors and actresses have been asked this same question in past, they neither deny or admit that they have been casted. Most of the time, when they can't give a straight answer, that means the rumors are true.
If the rumors are true, I can't wait to see how Mikkelsen pulls off the mannerisms of Thrawn. Hopefully, Mikkelsen blows away his animated counterpart out of galactic space. With the right acting and direction, Thrawn can reach the heights of Vader in terms of legendary villains.
