"Pedestrian Traffic"
Hello all! The Corellian Korean here with the latest Visual Graphic. Thank you for the wait. This illustration took longer than expected especially with the schedule conflict I had this past week. This piece is entitled "Pedestrian Traffic". It's the moment when Trooper 37 entered the city of Mos Espa to track down the Quarren and Ithorian with his R&D datapad. The work load for this piece was divided into three parts.
First, the background had to be laid out for the pedestrian traffic to be positioned. Luckily, there are many series and movies that use Tatooine as a backdrop. I had many sources to reference. Making the background was probably the most time consuming part of this piece.
Second, I had to position #37 and G2. Drawing geometric robots to scale is not my strong suit. Imagine the hell mech animators have to deal with on a daily basis. As you can see, G2 is R2-D2 with a red color swap. The red color was actually #37's choice.
Third, drawing the pedestrians of Tatooine was also time consuming. Also pulled references from the movies and series. This project was eating it up too much time so I decided to submit what I had.
