"PART ONE - Choosing Your Path"
Since the introduction of Star Wars Miniatures, my six-year-old boy, #37, has been playing a scaled down version of the game so he can get used to the mechanics of the game. Now that he learned how to add in his head and understands the rules of the game, I felt he was ready for a full-scale skirmish.
Before his first skirmish, I laid out 6 sets of miniatures. Each set represents a fantasy character archetype and an unlimited series of adventures #37 would embark upon.
Set One: The path of a Rebel Alliance Agent
If #37 picks this path, he will fight on the side of the Rebel Alliance. He will start as a low-ranking Rebel Trooper and gradually advance into a Rebel Commando or a Rebel Pilot.
Set Two: The path of Experimental Droids
If #37 picks this path, he will fight on the side of the Separatists. He will start as a unit of three B1 Battle Droids and gradually receive upgrades. Eventually, the three droids will become a new creation that exceeds their original design and purpose.
Set Three: The path of the Jedi
If #37 picks this path, he will serve the Jedi Order. He will start as a humble Padawan and learn the ways of the Force from a Jedi Master. Eventually he will earn the rank of Jedi Knight while executing the will of the Jedi Council. Maybe even advance to the level of Jedi Master.
Set Four: The path to the Darkside
If #37 picks this path, he will fight for his own cause. He will start as brash a Force Adept that has an affinity for the Darkside of the Force. A practitioner of the Sith arts will teach him the ways of the Force until #37 reaches his ultimate destiny.
Set Five: The path of a Republic Clone Trooper
If #37 picks this path, he will fight on the side of the Republic. He will loyally serve as a Clone Trooper and climb to the rank of ARC Trooper. Maybe he will even overcome his Clone programing and become a Mandalorian.
Set Six: The path of the Empire
If #37 picks this path, he will fight on the side of the Empire. He will join the Imperial academy and train to become an elite Stormtrooper. If he manages to impress his superiors, he may even serve under Lord Vader's command.
