"Intruders"
In the last episode of the CHRONICLES OF #37, our protagonist was alerted of an immediate danger outside of the R&D outpost. G2 held out the R&D datapad in front of the Stormtrooper's face.
Story Time
#37 pulled on his Stormtrooper helmet and held up the datapad.
G2's words scrolled across the screen of datapad .
"The outpost is surrounded by potential threats. Approximately 6 humanoid life signs are approaching the perimeter of the outpost. The sentry sensors have made visual confirmation."
The datapad's display switched to a video feed from the auto-turrets.
Sensors detected a Nautolan, Nikto, Gotal, Gran, Chagrian and Ishi Tib about 100 meters away and closing. The Nautolan grinned as it drew two pistols.
"They are armed. Auto-turrets engage..."
#37's held up his palm. A calm voice filtered through the Stormtrooper helmet.
"Belay that... disengage auto-turrets."
G2 perked up and swiveled it's dome to face #37. More text scrolled across the datapad.
"What do you have in mind?"
#37 walked past G2. He left his quarters and headed down the hallway to the back end of the structure. He entered the incarceration quarters. G2 trailed behind.
The Stormtrooper faced the cell of the two adjunct recruits, the Quarren gunman and the Ithorian thug. The two criminals were sitting upright with their eyes closed.
"Open the cell."
G2's eye changed colors then there was a loud mechanical click. The Quarren and Ithorian's eyes blinked as if surprised by the loud sound. #37 reached inside his helmet to active the Command Ring. The eyes of the adjunct recruits lit up then their eyes darted in the direction of the Stormtrooper. They stood up and casually walked out of their cell to line up in front of #37. Their eyes were alert and full of fear. The recruits could not utter a word or move. Only their eyes communicated their true intentions.
"We will use this opportunity to collect more research data for the Obedience Disks. I will engage the intruders with the two adjunct recruits. G2 provide cover for us."
G2 let's out a whistle, "You got it boss."
#37 attached six Obedience Disks to his belt. Then from the logistics bay, #37 took out a multi-purpose long black poncho with a hood. He pulled it over his head and body which covered his armor from head to toe. The poncho was designed for stealth infiltration so Stormtroopers would standout less in the cover of night. He also passed a poncho to each recruit. The Quarren's expression changed from fear to disbelief. He did not think imperial dogs were capable of such acts of charity. The Quarren was expecting the Stormtrooper to treat the criminals as expendable meat shields. The Ithorian was more simple and looked pleased as it dawned it's own poncho. Even G2 was given stealth tech which looked like a restraining bolt that projected a mat-black film over the surface of the droid. #37 handed the Quarren an imperial issue blaster pistol set to stun. As for the Ithorian, he was given a new force pike also set to stun. #37 activated the night vision on his helmet visor and set his own E-11 blaster riffle to stun.
G2 shook sideways and blurted something that sounded like, "Let's go team."
With those unspoken words, #37 and his team vanish into the darkness of the night.
[End storytelling]
Mission Objectives: Cloak & Capture
1. Each ally is considered to have "stealth" and cannot be considered a target until an enemy is at least 6 squares away from your characters. Abilities like "sniper" cannot disable stealth for this mission.
2. Targets must be defeated and turned into adjunct recruits via the Obedience Disk. The newly captured recruits will immediately join your team during this mission. After an enemy character is defeated, they will resume play next round as your ally from the position they were defeated.
3. Use the element of surprise to capture each target within one round. If you engage an enemy and fail to defeat the engaged target within that round then your team will no longer be considered to have "stealth" for the rest of this skirmish. All enemy members will be alerted of your presence and they will engage your team next round.
Enemy Stats:
Nautolan Gunman

Hit Points: 10
Defense: 12
Attack: 4
Damage: 10
Abilities:
Double Attack: On its turn, if this character attacks without moving first, it then has the option either to move normally or to make an extra attack. The extra attack can be against the same enemy as the original attack, but it doesn’t have to be. Since this special ability works only on its turn, this character still makes only a single attack when making an attack of opportunity.
Nikto Gunman

Hit Points: 10
Defense: 14
Attack: 2
Damage: 10
Abilities:
Sniper: When making an attack, this character ignores characters other than the target enemy for purposes of cover. Ignore intervening characters when determining both whether that enemy is a legal target, and whether it gains the +4 bonus to its Defense from cover. This ability does not allow the attacking character to ignore terrain that provides cover. For example, the Nikto Soldier has Sniper. He can shoot past a Clone Trooper and attack the Clone Trooper Commander behind that Clone Trooper, and the Commander does not get a +4 bonus to Defense. However, if there were low objects between the Clone Trooper and the Clone Trooper Commander, the Nikto Soldier would still not be able to target the Commander.
Gotal Gunman

Hit Points: 10
Defense: 13
Attack: 6
Damage: 10
Abilities:
Ion Gun 20: This character gets a +20 bonus to Damage against Droid enemies and mechanized turrets.
Gran Hitman

Hit Points: 10
Defense: 13
Attack: 2
Damage: 10
Abilities:
Melee Attack: This character can attack only enemies adjacent to it.
Mobile Attack: This character can move both before and after attacking (or using an ability that replaces attacks). Its total movement cannot be more than its speed. It is subject to attacks of opportunity as normal. This total distance can be increased by commander effects, Force powers, and so on. The square from which this character makes an attack must be a legal square to end movement in, even if the character has not yet ended its movement.
Stealth: If this character has cover, it does not count as the nearest enemy for choosing targets if the attacker is more than 6 squares away. A character can attack an enemy with cover only if that enemy is the nearest. If this character would be the nearest enemy, the next-nearest enemy counts as the nearest instead. Follow the normal rules for cover if the character with Stealth is within 6 squares of the attacker.
Chagrian Mercenary Captain

Hit Points: 30
Defense: 15
Attack: 6
Damage: 10
Evade: Whenever this character is hit by an attack from a nonadjacent enemy, it can avoid the damage with a save of 11.
