"Ruthless"
In the last episode of the CHRONICLES OF #37, our protagonist responded to the intruders. With his two new recruits and trusty droid, they engaged the enemy in a mission of stealth to subdue and dominate the enemy combatants via the Obedience Disks.
Story Time
In the dead of the night, only the moon, stars and the R&D outpost shined in the void of Tatooine's night. Off to the distance, short of one hundred meters from the outpost entrance, bouts of blaster bolts flickered in the darkness. Then there were pauses of silence. With each pause followed a howl of pain that pierced the silent valley. This repeated into the night. Each cry was distinct and brief, a nightmarish chorus.
The morbid opera ended in less than an hour.
Moments later, a Stormtrooper in a long black poncho emerged from the darkness. #37 returned to the outpost with eight silhouettes that resembled a Quarren, Ithorian, Nautolan, Nikto, Gotal, Gran, Chagrian and Ishi Tib. All eight humanoids marched in sync to #37's rhythm. And of course a squat black droid followed behind to cap off the band of unwilling recruits. Each adjunct recruit sported an Obedience Disk on the front or back. Eyes alert and full of fear. #37 halted at the entrance of the outpost and faced his new recruits. The filtered voice coolly speaks to G2.
"G2, take the six new recruits and retrieve their transports and weapons. Afterwards, put them in their cells"
G2 whistled in acknowledgement. The droid removed the stealth tech from it's dome with an appendage. The G2's black faded to a red and white color scheme. Then it rolled back into the pitch black night with six new members in unison.
#37 walked the remaining two recruits to the logistics bay to return their ponchos and weapons. Then returned the recruits back to their incarceration cells. #37 locked the cell doors behind them and exited to his private quarters.
The Quarren and Ithorian eyed each other in awe of #37's ruthless efficiency and audacity. Who does he think he is? How could a single Stormtrooper and an astromech apprehended eight members of the Hutt crime syndicate without suffering reprisal. They witnessed #37's miraculous feats twice in a single day. Once word gets out that one lone imperial defied the crime lords, more trouble will come #37's way. Jabba will not take this insult lightly...
