"The Quarren & Ithorian"

In the last episode of the CHRONICLES OF #37, our 6-year-old protagonist began his first skirmish. You, the audience at home, could printout this map and play this scenario at home in conjunction with the provided stats. However, if you want a detailed account of how #37 played the game, then I can make a Visual Graphic to simulate what happened. #37 strided a few hundred paces before he could see pedestrian traffic. The space port city of Mos Espa was buzzing with activity. Medium sized freighters to large vessels were flying in and out of the city's clusters of docking ports scattered throughout the city. At the center of the city was a sunken canyon with a tall spire siting at the center. Surrounding the spire were many single-story structures. The layout of the city made it convenient to conduct business discreetly and leave without too many people asking questions. Toward the north of the city, you could see the Mos Espa Grand Arena which hosted the annual Boonta Eve Classic Podraces.

While G2 was scanning the area, #37 was set on the task at hand. He ignored the distractions and continued on course to where the datapad directed. He was zeroing in on the location of the Quarren gunman's estimated position. The datapad indicated that members of the Hutt crime syndicate frequented a cantina at the edge off Mos Espa. #37 entered the pedestrian traffic, all eyes were fixed on the solitary Stormtrooper and his squat droid companion. It was an unusual sight to see a single Stormtrooper alone in a dangerous city like Mos Espa. Normally, Stormtroopers were seen in large groups, never alone like this. Their presence would make civilians avert their gaze and go about their business. But this odd pair stood out, they strolled in as if they had a battalion of Stormtroopers in their wake. The pedestrian traffic made way for #37 as he continued toward his destination. A hum of whispers followed, no doubt queries about our stalwart Trooper #37's presence. No one dared to approach #37 even if he was alone.

Eventually, #37 steps halted at two speeder bikes parked outside of a quite cantina. #37 entered the dimly lit establishment. Business seemed stagnant as there were no patrons, only one Quarren bar keep. The Quarren was at its station polishing a glass while eyeing #37. The bar keep resembled the wanted criminal from the R&D datapad. The Quarren croaked Huttese at #37, something about droids not being welcome. G2 moaned in disapproval at the dingy condition of the establishment.

Before #37 could speak, the Quarren's hands went behind the counter as to put away the glass cup. However, the Quarren's hands reappeared with a blaster pistol. G2 trilled! #37 reached for his own riffle. A volley of blaster bolts decorated the entrance where #37 stood. However, #37 was unphased and took aim. His trust in the droid was rewarded, G2 was doing its job. The projectiles from the Quarren's blaster were being deflected by the Guardian shield. To the right of the entrance, a door slid open. An Ithorian appeared and charged in with a force pike at the ready. #37 set his riffle to stun and turned to the Ithorian.

Moments later... the dust settled, #37 stood over the immobilized bodies of the Quarren and Ithorian. As instructed, #37 took down the two criminals without using lethal force. He knelt down to place an Obedience Disk on the chest of Quarren that laid face up. The Quarren's defiant eyes lit up as the disk drew closer. The Quarren wanted to retaliate but the effects of the stun ray rendered it's body useless. A mechanical crushing sound emanated from the disk as it sank slightly into the Quarren's chest. The squid like humanoid screamed in pain and it's chest convulsed. Then the disk hissed, and the Quarren fell silent. G2 whistled perhaps to pity the still assailant.

#37 proceeded to do the same to the Ithorian without hesitation.

Pedestrian activity ceased outside of the cantina as torturous wailing could be heard. Then an eerie silence followed. The cantina entrance slid open. #37 stepped out. All heads turned. The two criminals followed in #37's wake and G2 trailed behind with triumphant fanfare. There were no binding cuffs on the criminals. They were walking independently; their were eyes alert looking straight ahead. The Quarren and Ithorian were now slaves to the will of the Command Ring in #37's helmet. Huttese could be heard from the crowd of spectators. They looked on in disbelief.

G2 conveniently hailed their R&D modified speeder bike to their trajectory for extraction. G2 could drive the speeder bike for #37 via wireless communication. Another function that was revealed in the instruction manual. In a few seconds their speeder appeared. #37 and G2 board their bike. The two apprehended criminals followed suit and got on their own bikes. They rode off into the desert landscape. Trooper #37 returned to the R&D outpost without a hitch.

Mission accomplished.

Trooper #37's team now consisted of 2 more members. To be continued...
